Sadly, the nice weather won’t last forever. A major shake-up in the pattern is expected to arrive Saturday evening, bringing an abrupt end to this week’s warmth.
Temperatures will still be pleasant to start the day on Saturday, before the bottom drops out. Highs will reach the upper 60s, flirting with the 70-degree mark once again. Expect a fair mix of sun and clouds, but winds will pick up sharply by late in the day.
The cold returns Saturday night, with lows near the freezing mark for most locations. Even colder air is on the way for the days ahead.
Sunday will feel downright brutal. Afternoon highs will only reach around 40 degrees, but strong gusty winds will make it feel like the 20s. This will be the coldest weather we’ve experienced since the start of the year.
