MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — You may have noticed that WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute was lit in teal this week, but its reasoning wasn't just for a beautiful display.

As a part of the Alzheimer's Foundation of America's mission to "Light the World in Teal," the Neuroscience Institute joined in to help raise awareness of Alzheimer's Disease and highlight the efforts of staff at the facility who are working to advance patients' care.

Seven million Americans currently have Alzheimer's Disease, with rates continuing to grow over time.

While there is currently no cure for Alzheimer's, there are new ways to be proactive against the condition, according to Dr. Ali Rezai, executive chair of the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute.
