PAINTSVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - The Johnson Central Golden Eagles cruised to a 48-16 victory against Harrison County on Thursday in the first round of the KHSAA Football playoffs.
Johnson Central scored the first 41 points of the game before the Thorobreds got on the board in the third quarter.
The Golden Eagles improved to 11-0 on the season and have won four straight contests against Harrison County.
Jesse Peck’s crew is one of just two teams left in Class 4A that have not lost a game, the other being Franklin County.
Johnson Central will host Covington Catholic in the second round. The contest is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Nov. 14, according to KHSAA.
