OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — She started as a KFOR intern.
Her first assignment was to sit at the assignment desk, where she answered phones, sent news crews on location, and helped track down documents or other information for producers and reporters.
She then spent a brief time as a reporter in Wichita Falls.
When Joleen moved back to Oklahoma City, she came back to KFOR.
She quickly became a respected journalist with many sources for her original reports.
Joleen never forgot where she came from, growing up in Rush Springs.
Because she knew that area and the people knew her, they trusted her. They would send her news tips, and she cultivated those and other connections.
Through hard work and determination, she would one day work with and follow in the footsteps of award-winning and icon
