BERTHOUD — Friday night in the confines of its own gym, the Berthoud volleyball team made certain its 2025 story wasn’t finished.
The Spartans (24-1) swept both Pueblo Central and Falcon to claim the Class 4A Region 7 championship and a spot in next weekend’s state tournament at the Denver Coliseum.
Berthoud will play in the state tournament for the first time since 2021. The Spartans have come close in recent years, but Friday night they made sure they would get to write another chapter.
