Panna: The ‘Gem State’ of Panna has once again lived up to its name! Local miner Brijendra Kumar Sharma of Sirswaha struck it rich today, unearthing five diamonds simultaneously from the shallow mines of Barka.

Sharma’s luck immediately transformed his day, as the haul is estimated to be worth around Rs 10 lakh in the market. He promptly deposited the diamonds with the District Diamond Office.

Diamond Officer Anupam Singh confirmed the find, stating the five stones weigh a total of 5.79 carats. The collection includes three brilliant-quality diamonds (weighing 0.74, 2.29, and 0.77 carats) and two off-colour diamonds (1.08 and 0.91 carats). These valuable gems will be included in the upcoming diamond auction.
