West Coast’s seven-season wait to achieve their AFLW dream turned into a November nightmare in a stunning 10-minute onslaught from Carlton to end their season in the elimination final.
The Blues kicked four goals in 10 minutes to start the second half, and six for the term, to turn an eight-point lead at half-time into a match winning 45-point advantage.
Carlton’s class was clear as they won 9.6 (60) to 2.7 (19) in wet, windy and wintry conditions at Ikon Park.
