New Delhi: India’s Winter Session of Parliament will convene from December 1 to December 19, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju announced on Friday. The decision, approved by President Droupadi Murmu, comes just days after the Bihar Assembly elections, setting the stage for a politically charged session.
Rijiju, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), said the government is “looking forward to a constructive and meaningful Session that strengthens our democracy and serves the aspirations of the people.” His statement reflects the Centre’s intent to focus on legislative progress, though political observers anticipate an intense atmosphere inside the House.
The upcoming session is expected to be contentious, with the Opposition gearing up to challenge the government on several issues
