In a remarkable display of grit and endurance, one of UP Police’s decorated officers, , has successfully conquered Nepal’s formidable Himlung Himal peak.

Standing tall at sits tucked away in Nepal’s remote region, northeast of the Annapurna range, a climb only a handful dare to attempt!

The expedition began on October 15, 2025, and after weeks of braving treacherous terrain and unforgiving altitude, Dixit planted the Indian flag atop Himlung Himal at 8 PM on November 3; in a bone-chilling –25°C temperature.
