WHITE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — An early morning crash on Interstate 65 left one person dead and two others injured.
The crash occurred near mile marker 197 in White County. A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2018 Freightliner tractor-trailer was traveling southbound in the right lane, while a 2020 Hino box truck was in the left lane. For unknown reasons, the Hino moved into the right lane and hit the trailer of the Freightliner.
Both drivers were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger of the Hino was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's name has not yet been released.
The crash is still under investigation.
