Odisha is set to experience its first real taste of winter this season. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a noticeable drop in night temperatures across the state over the coming days, with Bhubaneswar likely to touch 17°C and Cuttack around 16°C by mid-next week.
According to the Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, the minimum temperature is expected to fall by 2°C to 3°C over the next two to three days, with stable conditions thereafter. The forecast suggests that cooler, pleasant nights will continue across both interior and coastal Odisha until November 15.
Why Temperatures Are Falling
Meteorologists attribute the temperature dip to clear skies and dry north-easterly winds, marking the seasonal transition from post-monsoon humidity to early winter.
