Hamilton police say they have identified one teen suspect and are working to identify a second after a stabbing and bear-spray attack at an unlicensed short-term rental property on Halloween.
A 17-year-old was assaulted at the house on Shelby Avenue, near Barton Street East and Strathearne Avenue, where a large party was held Oct. 31.
The house is not licensed as a short-term rental, in violation of a City of Hamilton bylaw.
City licensing staff have been “actively investigating” the property since June, said Dan Smith, acting director of licensing and bylaw.
