A ₹300 crore land deal in Pune involving a firm linked to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's son, Parth Pawar, has sparked a major political controversy and prompted the state government to order a high-level investigation into alleged irregularities.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis termed the allegations "prima facie serious" and directed officials to submit a detailed report. Ajit Pawar, meanwhile, denied any involvement, asserting he had "no connection whatsoever" with the disputed transaction.
