Snowfall caused by Western Disturbance in the North Indian states of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand has intensified the cold in the plains. In Rajasthan, the mercury has dropped by 10°C within two days. Nagaur experienced the coldest weather, with a minimum temperature of 6.7°C recorded.

In Madhya Pradesh, the chill has started to increase in the first week of November itself. In the capital Bhopal, the mercury was recorded at 8.4°C, which is the second lowest temperature in the last 10 years. In November 2024, the minimum temperature was recorded at 8.2°C.
