Former Australian cricketer Steve Waugh has said that the likes of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have to take some responsibility and realise that the game is bigger than an individual, asking the duo to be wary of their future, even though they gave a good account of themselves against Australia.

The discussion revolves around BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar’s dilemma over Kohli and Rohit’s participation in the 2027 ODI World Cup.

The duo, two of the game’s most followed stars, are keen to feature in the 2027 World Cup.

“The players have to take some responsibility and realise that the game is bigger than the individual. You can’t put yourself above the game. You’ve got to realise that the game moves on and someone else will take your place," Waugh said while speaking to Vima
