Rhode Island guard Jonah Hinton was the high scorer with 19 points in the game against Tulsa Friday night, Nov. 7, but the Rams fell to the Golden Hurricanes, 82-65, in Alumni Hall at the U.S. Naval Academy in Maryland. Tulsa's David Green, who transferred from Rhode Island, led his team with 14 points. He was 6-for-12 from the floor and 1-for-5 from beyond the arc.
After a fast start by both teams, with a combined 33 points in the first 6:33, URI led 16-11 before Tulsa went on a 16-0 run and took a 36-29 lead into the half. The Rams committed five turnovers to open the second half, and took just one shot in the first three minutes, as Tulsa pushed its lead back to 11 points, and held a double-digit lead for much of the second half.
