A festive cookie tour with a heartfelt mission is coming to Bethlehem this holiday season, organized by a local mother-son team who turned their cancer journey into hope for others.

Main Street Bethlehem will host “ Cookies in the Christmas City ” on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with proceeds benefiting pediatric cancer research.

The event was created by Sara Austin and her son Ben, a two-time cancer survivor who was first diagnosed with stage 3 Wilms tumor at age 3½. After facing a relapse shortly after his initial diagnosis, Ben is now a healthy seventh grader who has been cancer-free for more than six years.

Together, the mother and son have raised tens of thousands of dollars for childhood cancer research.
