CASS COUNTY, Mich. (WNDU) - A 78-year-old man was taken to the hospital after police say he was hit by a car on Friday night in Cass County.

According to police, the man was walking across Barron Lake Road from Cliffield Court around 6 p.m. when he was hit by a car being driven by a 55-year-old Cassopolis woman.

Police did not disclose his current condition, but they said he was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
