SHREVEPORT, La. - A man whose body was found floating in the Red River by construction workers in late August has been identified, the Caddo Parish Coroner's office reports.

Jeremy Williams, 36, was identified through DNA comparison in conjunction with the Baton Rouge-based LSU Forensic Anthropology and Computer Enhancement Services (FACES) Laboratory.

He was found near construction on the Jimmie Davis Bridge on East 70th Street at the Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway's southern terminus on Aug. 20.

According to a spokesman for the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office at the time the body was found, foul play is not suspected.
