The Pleasant Valley football team defeated Shasta 38-7 in the both teams’ regular season finale. Despite the win the Vikings had a major loss that may have a strong impact on the remainder of their season.
On the first play from scrimmage running back Titus Andrus took a routine handoff and ran to his left, but immediately went down in pain. Andrus appeared to have a severe lower leg injury, and after a 25 minute delay left in an ambulance. Andrus entered Friday with 1,518 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns, and had rushed for 190, 252, 269 and 149 yards in each of the Vikings’ first four Eastern Athletic League games. He had 273 rushing yards in Week 1 and 181 yards in Week 4, and will be a crucial loss when the Vikings begin their playoff run.
With Andrus out, Jay Mojica scored the Viking
