The Manitoba government is formally recognizing Indigenous Veterans Day for the first time following the passage of new legislation earlier this week. Premier Wab Kinew announced that Bill 210, officially designates November 8 as Indigenous Veterans Day in Manitoba.
The legislation marks a permanent annual observance to honour the contributions and sacrifices of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis veterans who have served in Canada’s military.
