Alex Steeves’ first NHL game of the 2025-26 season will be in a familiar place for him.
The Bruins placed Elias Lindholm on injured reserve retroactive to his Oct. 30 injury and called up Steeves from Providence before Saturday’s 7 p.m. game in Toronto.
Steeves will likely slot into Johnny Beecher’s lineup spot, after the fourth-line wing suffered a lower-body injury on Thursday.
Steeves signed with the Bruins as a free agent this offseason after amassing 36 goals and 26 assists last year with the Toronto Marlies of the AHL. The 25-year-old has three goals and five assists in Providence this season. He had 108 goals and 116 assists for 224 points in 256 career AHL games.
Steeves has three career points in 14 NHL games, all with the Maple Leafs.
