The Auburn coaching job might not be the most-coveted in the SEC right now, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a great position, SEC Network analyst Paul Finebaum said Saturday.

During a discussion of the Tigers in the post-Hugh Freeze era on SEC Nation, ESPN reporter Pete Thamel noted that the next Auburn coach could expect up to $30 million to build his 2026 roster and that athletics director John Cohen had already begun “reaching out to” potential candidates. There’s plenty about the job to attract a top-level candidate, Finebaum said.
