Old Town Fort Collins glowed to life on Nov. 7 as hundreds gathered for the annual downtown holiday lighting ceremony , marking the official start of the holiday season.
"This light installation starts in September and takes about six weeks to complete, putting up 65,000 individual lights," former Fort Collins Mayor Wade Troxell said at the event. "After tonight, the lights will be up through Valentine's Day, showcasing our beautiful downtown. I'm very grateful to all those whose hard work and generosity made this event sparkle."
