PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Amid ongoing protests outside the Portland ICE facility, police say they arrested a 79-year-old man Friday night after finding a set of brass knuckles on his person.
Portland resident Vernon Ragan, also known as James Stone, was arrested and booked into Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of menacing and unlawful use of a weapon.
Police said the incident stemmed from an altercation and the brass knuckles were seized as evidence.
According to PPB, Ragan is the 66th person arrested during the nightly protests since June.
