Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced that the ‘Koti Deepotsavam’ programme, organised by a private television management during Karthika Masam , would be celebrated as a State festival from next year.

He said the State government would also write to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting that Koti Deepotsavam be declared a national festival and accord national recognition to the spiritual event.

The Chief Minister made the announcement after participating in a programme here on Saturday.
