Patna, Nov 8: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday accused the Grand Alliance of shielding “infiltrators” in Bihar’s Seemanchal region and vowed to remove them if the NDA returns to power.
Addressing a rally in Purnea’s Banmankhi Assembly constituency, Shah alleged that illegal migrants were taking away jobs and resources meant for locals. “Rahul Gandhi and Lalu’s son took out a ‘Save the Infiltrators’ march. They want Seemanchal to become their stronghold. But we will remove every infiltrator and free the encroached land,” he said.
The Home Minister claimed Seemanchal — comprising Purnea, Araria, Kishanganj and Katihar — faces cross-border migration due to its proximity to Bangladesh.
Slamming the RJD, Shah said the “jungle raj” of the Lalu-Rabri
