The Supreme Court on Friday temporarily blocked a lower court order requiring the Trump administration to fully fund SNAP benefits during the government shutdown. A judge had ordered the payments by Friday, but the administration appealed, saying it lacked sufficient funds and sought to continue partial payments. After a Boston appeals court refused to intervene, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson issued a temporary pause while the appeals court reviews the case.
