In light of an acute water crisis in Iran, the water supply is to be temporarily shut off in the evening hours until the morning, particularly in the capital city Tehran.

"We are forced to cut off the water supply for citizens on some evenings so that the reservoirs can refill," Energy Minister Abbas Aliabadi was quoted as saying by the ISNA news agency on Saturday.
Additionally, he said that a significant reduction in water pressure is to be expected.
