Birmingham City will assess Paik Seung-ho in the coming days after the midfielder dislocated his shoulder in their defeat to Middlesbrough.

Paik was an early casualty at the Riverside in a game where goals from Boro pair Dael Fry and Hayden Hackney ensured Demarai Gray’s third of the season counted for nothing.

The South Korea international challenged for a header inside the first minute near the left touchline before landing awkwardly.

Paik, who arrived at the Riverside having scored in his previous two games, received lengthy treatment on the field before being replaced by Marc Leonard in the fifth minute.

Asked whether Paik’s shoulder popped out on the field, Blues boss Chris Davies replied: “I believe so.”
