PU to Hold Senate Elections Soon, Says Vice Chancellor Renu Vig; Appeals Students to End Protest

Chandigarh, November 8, 2025:

Panjab University (PU) Vice Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig on Saturday announced that the university will be initiating the process to conduct Senate elections in accordance with the latest notification issued by the Ministry of Education, Government of India on November 7, 2025 .

Responding to media queries during the curtain-raiser event of the India International Science Festival (IISF-2025) , Prof. Vig said that the university will strictly adhere to the prescribed rules and procedures for holding the elections.
