Gallatin High earned a 34-16 win over Missoula Sentinel on Friday in the Class AA quarterfinals at Van Winkle Stadium.
The Eastern AA No. 2 seed Raptors, who improved to 9-1, advanced to the state semifinals for the fourth consecutive season. They will be matched up next Friday against Western AA No. 1 seed Kalispell Glacier (10-0) in Kalispell.
Gallatin’s Carter Dahlke contributed three touchdowns to the winning effort. He recovered a fumble in the first quarter and returned it 81 yards for the first score of the game. After an onside kick, Gallatin’s Eddie Ballanco tacked on a 30-yard field goal for a 10-0 lead. Dahlke later closed the first quarter with a 10-yard rushing touchdown. Tyson Scheel scored on an 11-yard run for Gallatin in the second quarter, creating a 24-0 halftime lead.
