LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - The Lufkin Panthers clinched back-to-back playoff appearances for the first time since 2019-2020 with a 52-14 win over Galveston Ball on Friday night.

Michael Coleman and Ryan Smith broke down Lufkin’s performance on Red Zone Overtime. Smith says the Panthers overwhelmed Galveston Ball.

“For the better part of this football game, it looked like a playoff team versus a non-playoff team...Lufkin overwhelmed Galveston Ball,” Smith said. “When it comes to the overall performance of Lufkin tonight, I have to say, if you’re a Lufkin Panther fan you have to be pretty pleased heading into the postseason next week.”

Lufkin (7-3) will face Houston Westbury (9-1) in the bi-district round on Saturday at Joe K. Butler Stadium in Houston.
