It took Hilary Duff a decade to release new music — and she had a clear reason for her return to the industry.
“It was always going to happen. There’s no way that [music] was not going to be part of my story,” Duff, 38, said on the Wednesday, November 5, episode of the “Therapuss” podcast. “Living with the person that I live with, who’s my husband [musician Matthew Koma], and just being 10 years removed from music and being 38 and just arriving where I am in my life.”
She continued, “I just felt like I am ready to fill in the blanks and share with people and connect with them on the level of now. I’ve had a 25-plus-year career and, obviously, it’s taken a lot of twists and turns and ups and downs.”
The former Disney Channel star released her first album in 2002 and her last in 2015. In
