The Nipissing Lakers women’s team had a big audience at Boart Longyear Memorial Gardens Friday night but struggled to fire them up dropping a 3-1 decision to the visiting University of Toronto Blues.
North Bay is hosting a major girls hockey tournament this weekend so a crowd of well over 3,000 were on hand for the contest.
The Lakers had recently beaten the Blues in Toronto but on this night Nipissing had trouble generating offence.
