Honolulu police arrested a 43-year-old man early this morning after an alleged assault in Waikiki.
At about 12:21 a.m., patrol officers responded to an assault fronting the Waikiki Beachside Hostel on Lemon Road where the suspect, “without provocation,” assaulted a a 50-year-old male visitor, according to a Honolulu Police Department news release.
The victim sustained severe head injuries and was taken to a hospital, police said. No further information on his condition was released.
Officers arrested the 43-year-old man for suspicion of second-degree attempted murder.
