HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - After what has been a pretty nice Saturday, an abrupt shock of winter arrives Sunday night into Monday with our first snow showers of the season.

It will be a nice Saturday evening with clear skies. Clouds quickly build during the overnight, and eventually, scattered rain showers also show up. Lows will be in the mid to upper 40s.

Sunday will start with cloudy skies and temperatures in the low 50s. Cloudy skies will continue throughout the day with scattered rain showers at times. By the late afternoon, temperatures will have fallen into the low 40s. It will be a breezy day as well. For the evening, a mix of rain and snow shows up as temperatures fall all the way into the mid to upper 20s, with it feeling more like 20 degrees first thing Monday morning.
