ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A suspect wanted for an April homicide in southeast Atlanta was arrested after a chase through a neighborhood in October, according to police.
Officers were alerted about the suspect, 37-year-old Keith Hawkins, driving in the area of Pickfair Way SW near Ashwood Avenue NW on Oct. 28. They were able to find him and used their cars to box his vehicle in.
Hawkins rammed the patrol cars in order to escape before he ran away “armed with a handgun that had been modified to be a fully automatic weapon,” police say. He threw the weapon into the woods and was quickly arrested by officers.
