Zayne Parekh is out week-to-week.
While the Calgary Flames didn’t have further details about their star-in-the-making blueliner after Saturday morning’s practice at the Saddledome, head coach Ryan Huska did reveal that Parekh will be out for a matter of weeks, not days.
The 19-year-old was injured after being on the receiving end of a big hit from the Chicago Blackhawks’ Nick Foligno during the Flames’ 4-0 defeat on Friday night.
It was obvious that something was wrong right away. Parekh Immediately skated to the bench and was in considerable discomfort on the bench before heading back to the lockerroom and not returning.
