SMITH COUNTY, Texas (KETK) - Judge Andy Dunklin has announced that he's running to be reelected as Smith County Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace in 2026.

Dunklin will officially kick off his campaign for the March 2026 Republican Primary at The Place on Main at Solon Douglas & Co. in Bullard on Tuesday. The event starts at 9 a.m. and guests will get to speak directly with Dunklin.

"As your judge in Precinct 2, I have made a reputation for being a fair jurist,” said Judge Dunklin. “Our court is the busiest lawsuit-filing justice court in our county. To continue the momentum my staff and I have built over the past 7 years, this election is important."

As Justice of the Peace for Precinct 2, Dunklin's court hears small claims cases, debt claims, eviction cases and repair and remedy cases. D
