STATE COLLEGE – After fading in the second half against No. 1 Ohio State a week ago, the effort from struggling Penn State was much better in its Big Ten matchup with No. 2 Indiana on Saturday at Beaver Stadium.

The Nittany Lions’ effort was outstanding

The result, though, was the same.

Curt Cignetti’s Hoosiers (10-0, 7-0) beat the Nittany Lions 27-24 despite playing without injured star wide receiver Elijah Sarratt.

Indiana rallied from 24-20 down on quarterback Fernando Mendoza’s 7-yard touchdown pass to wideout Omar Cooper with 36 seconds left.

Indiana made history with the victory, beating PSU (3-6, 0-6) for the first time in State College. The Hoosiers were 0-13 coming in.

Let’s get to the turning point and some game balls.
