BOISE, Idaho — A 29-year-old Garden City man died Saturday afternoon after being involved in a head-on collision on I-84 north of Hammett, according to Idaho State Police (ISP) .
Police said the crash happened around 2:12 p.m. near the Hammett Hill exit.
Idaho State Police said a white Ram dually pickup truck, towing a travel trailer and driven by a 55-year-old man from Canton, Texas, was traveling eastbound on I-84 when the driver crossed into the westbound lanes and collided head-on with a tan 1995 Chevrolet Silverado.
"Both vehicles became fully engulfed from the collision," ISP wrote in a news release.
ISP said the driver of the Silverado died at the scene. The Ram driver was flown to a local hospital.
