A frightened French Bulldog sat trapped in a crate in a California parking lot, unable to move or call for help.
The little dog, later named Goober, had an open wound on his back and was clearly in pain. All he could do was wait and hope that someone would find him.
That help arrived when Angela Adan, founder of Deserving Dogs , a nonprofit rescue in California, happened to pull into the same parking lot.
The moment she saw the crate and the dog inside, she knew something was terribly wrong.
When Goober spotted her, he stared through the bars with tearful eyes, silently begging for kindness.
A Chance At Rescue
Angela’s heart broke when she realized how he had been left.
“You could tell that somebody just shoved him in there and left quickly,” Adan told The Dodo .
