YORKTON - The Yorkton Terriers travelled to North Battleford for a two-game set against the North Stars over the weekend.
In Friday’s Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League tilt the home side took an early lead and never looked back.
The lead came 6:47 into the contest off the stick of Anthony Campbell – the lone goal of the opening stanza.
In the second period an even-strength goal by Josh Knittig and Campbell with his second of the contest – this one on the powerplay – made it 3-0 through 40-minutes of action.
It was 4-0 as Carter Geysen potted a goal 5:31 into the final frame.
Ryder McDonald would foil Steele Bass’ shut out bid with the Terriers lone goal of the contest at 9:25 of the third period and a 4-1 final.
Callum Creig was tagged with the loss in Yorkton’s net facing 32-shots.
