Emily Haines scored a goal in each half as second-seeded Washington Township defeated seventh-seeded Gloucester Tech 3-0 in a battle of familiar foes in the NJSIAA South Jersey, Group 4 quarterfinals in Sewell.
The Minutemaids (14-5-3) reached the semifinals for the first time since 2022 and will face third-seeded Cherokee, who they edged 1-0 earlier this season.
Corrine Myers scored her 12th goal for Washington Township and Brianna Weiss got plenty of help from her defense as she needed to stop just one shot for the shutout.
This was the third meeting this year between the Tri-County Royal Division rivals. Washington Township won the first 1-0 and the second ended in a 1-1 tie.
Gwen Marvil made seven saves for the Cheetahs (9-9-4).
