Hanover Area Superintendent Nathan Barrett provided the community with an all-encompassing update on the incoming Hanover Area Elementary Center, located at 50 New Commerce Blvd. The massive project will consolidate the district’s four elementary schools — Hanover Green, Lee Park, Lyndwood, and Memorial — into one building.
In total, the two-story elementary complex will stretch over 27.5 acres.
As it stands, each story of the structure at 50 New Commerce Blvd. is 72,500 square feet, and 145,000 square feet total. Additionally, the building is split between two “wings.” The East Wing will serve Kindergarten students through second graders, while the West Wing will serve third through sixth graders.
