CHICAGO (WLS) -- Christmas is already in Chicago at the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry.

On Saturday, the museum started the holiday season with a tree lighting and it's "Christmas Around the World" festival.

The countdown is finally over. Holiday cheer has arrived at the Griffin MSI.

"I want them to walk away with a sense of community, feeling together," said Laura Herrera, Griffin Museum of Science and Industry Chief Marketing Officer.

The museum's "Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Light" is a beloved tradition there. It is a global celebration of culture and religion, drawing people from all walks of life together.
