KENNEWICK, Wash. – A stolen dirt bike was recovered yesterday afternoon in Kennewick after a Pro-Act detective spotted it in the area of E. 2nd Avenue and S. Date Street. According to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office , the rider, wearing a ski mask and backpack, fled at high speed when the detective attempted to stop him.
The detective opted not to pursue the rider and instead called for additional deputies to set up in the area. The suspect was seen heading into Finley, prompting deputies to search the area around Two Rivers Park.
A juvenile male, matching the suspect’s description, was detained on Finley Road. It appeared he had removed some clothing items to avoid being caught.
