QUINCY - It's never too early to think about Christmas.
That's especially true when focusing on others in the community who may not have any holiday at all without the help of others more fortunate who are in a position to give to families in need.
And in keeping with a close-to-40 year tradition steeped with history, the United Way of Adams County is hoping this year's Good News of Christmas (GNOC) is even more successful than its 37 predecessors.
The Good News of Christmas campaign helps families in need across West Central Illinois and Northeast Missouri during the holidays. Families are nominated by local caseworkers, and through donations from the community, they receive gifts, household items, and a bit of hope during what can be a tough time of year.
