KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) - The Tennessee Men's Basketball team dominated Northern Kentucky 95-56 at the Food City Center Saturday afternoon, improving to 2-0 on the early season.
NKU jumped out to a 10-5 lead early in the first half after the Vols turned the ball over twice. But Tennessee responded with hot three point shooting, Ja'Kobi Gillespie, Nate Ament and Bishop Boswell all knocked one down.
The Vols never looked back, leading the Norse for the remainder of the contest. Five different players made a three-pointer in the first half (Gillespie, Ament, Boswell, Ethan Burg and Troy Henderson) as they finished 10-19 from deep before the break.
